Day 1: Nairobi – A Warm Welcome to Kenya

Your Splendor Safari begins in Nairobi, the vibrant capital city. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, take a relaxing city tour, where you can visit the Giraffe Centre, known for its conservation efforts, or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where orphaned elephants are nurtured. Nairobi offers a unique introduction to Kenya’s wildlife and culture.

Day 2: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, set out on a scenic drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Located at the foothills of Mount Kenya, this conservancy is renowned for its conservation efforts and is home to the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa. Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see these primates. An afternoon game drive will introduce you to a diverse range of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). Overnight: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Start your day with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators like lions and leopards on the prowl, as well as other animals like giraffes, antelopes, and hyenas. The cool, clear morning light offers great photography opportunities, with Mount Kenya as a stunning backdrop. After a leisurely lunch and relaxation at your lodge, embark on another game drive or choose a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village to experience the local culture and traditions.

Day 3: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rich birdlife and picturesque landscape. The lake is often fringed with thousands of flamingos, creating a stunning pink hue. Besides birds, the park is also a sanctuary for rhinos, lions, leopards, and large buffalo herds. Your afternoon game drive will take you around the park’s diverse habitats, from acacia forests to grasslands, ensuring ample opportunities to spot wildlife. Overnight: Lake Nakuru

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

Continue your safari to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake that lies at the highest elevation of the Kenyan Rift Valley. The lake is a haven for birdlife and offers spectacular views. Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara

Known for its vast open plains and abundance of wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also the site of the annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles cross the Mara River in search of greener pastures. Day 6: Maasai Mara – A Full Day Safari Experience

Spend a full day exploring the wonders of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Optional activities include an early morning hot air balloon safari, which offers a bird’s-eye view of the vast Mara plains followed by a champagne breakfast. Day 7: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After a final morning game drive in the Maasai Mara, bid farewell to the wildlife and head back to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, arriving in the city by late afternoon. Once in Nairobi, you can relax at your hotel or explore local markets for souvenirs.

Day 8: Departure – End of the Safari Adventure

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule, you may opt for a visit to Nairobi National Park or take part in some last-minute shopping in the city.
